ROSEMONT – A header from Cheyenne Tumolo off of a corner kick in the 19th minute would hold up as the winning goal for the Ravens as Rosemont defeated visiting Immaculata University, 2-0. The win upped the Raven's overall record to 9-5-3 (6-3-1 CSAC) and gave them a guaranteed spot in the CSAC postseason tournament. Immaculata was eliminated from postseason contention with the loss as they fell to 3-12-1 (3-6-1 CSAC).
Holding the 1-0 lead after the halftime break the Ravens would add to their lead in the 68th minute when Kerri-Gene Lussier would beat two defenders on a through ball from teammate Paige Snyder to account for the final score.
Jenna Kaiser was credited with two saves and the shutout win. Kaiser now has nine wins, five by shutout this season.
The Rosemont women's soccer program has earned a CSAC playoff spot for the third straight season in their short four-year history.
The team ends their regular season on Thursday when they travel to Hackettstown, NJ to face the Centenary Cyclones in a CSAC contest. The game is scheduled for a 3:00pm start.
