Dallas, Pa. – The host Misericordia University Cougars (3-6) poured on the offense in the first half, outscoring Rosemont (2-4) 13-3 in the half to put this afternoon's non-conference game out of reach early, with Rosemont falling to Misericordia by a final score of 16-3.

The Ravens took a quick 1-0 lead when Kerry Hars took the game-opening draw control and a Powell Davis shot found paydirt with only 32 seconds elapsed off of the clock.

The Cougars responded quickly, however, putting the next four goals on the board to take a 4-1 lead.  With 21 minutes left in the half, Ali Osorio won the draw which led to a free position opportunity for Nicole Goodwin. Goodwin made it count to get the Ravens back to within two goals of Misericordia, 4-2.

Unfortunately for Rosemont, they would not score for the remainder of the half, while the Cougars would score nine straight to take a 13-2 advantage. A free-position goal from Kerry Hars with 1:13 left in the half would end the scoring in the half with Rosemont trailing 13-3 at the horn.

Misericordia shut out the Ravens 3-0 in the second half to account for the final score.

For the Ravens, single goals from Hars, Davis and Goodwin accounted for their scores. Osorio won four draw controls for the Ravens while Hars won three.

Misericordia had five players with multiple scoring shots, led by Liz Mulvey's five and Brook North and Alexandra Elmes each scoring three goals. The Cougars' Melina Juliano got Misericordia off to a good start at center, winning six draw controls. She was also credited with a team-leading five ground balls.

The Ravens are scheduled to play their first home game of 2015 at the Ravens Athletic Complex when they're set to host Notre Dame of Maryland University on Wednesday, 4/1. The CSAC game against the Gators is scheduled for a 6:00pm draw.
