Aston, Pa. – The Rosemont women's lacrosse team (3-8, 2-3 CSAC) had difficulty generating offense at Neumann today as the Knights (9-4, 7-1 CSAC) started the game with a big lead and managed the Ravens over the remainder of the game to earn a 16-2 win over the Ravens.
Neumann scored all 11 goals in the first half, and scored their 12th straight to open the second half. That streak was stopped with 18:39 left in the game when Gina Ragona put the Ravens on the board. Three more Neumann goals put the home side up 15-1 before Powell Davis scored with 6 ½ minutes left to make the score 15-2.
Nia Hall made 18 saves and had eight ground balls in goal. Though she was charged with the loss, her solid work was the highlight of the game for the Ravens.
The schedule gets no easier for Rosemont when they travel to face Richard Stockton College in a non-conference game on Friday, 4/17. The game against the Ospreys is slated for a 5:00pm start.
