Allentown, Pa. – Rosemont junior Jennifer South, who missed the first six games of this season, snapped back with a vengeance today. South and rookie teammate Nicole Goodwin each scored six goals as the Ravens (3-5, 2-3 CSAC) earned an 18-4 conference win over the Cedar Crest Falcons (0-7, 0-5 CSAC).
South and Goodwin each scored two goals to sandwich another Rosemont goal from Powell Davis to give the Ravens a 5-0 lead with 12:46 left in the 1st half. The Falcons stiffened from that point, scoring three of the next four goals to get back to within three goals at 6-3 in favor of the Ravens with 6:00 left in the half. But Goodwin's two goals and goals from South and Kerry Hars would give the Ravens the momentum going into the break as Rosemont led 10-3.
Two more goals from Goodwin, a goal from South and Bunyard's second score of the day (assisted from Kerry Hars) gave the Ravens a comfortable 14-3 lead with 18:36 remaining. Ahead 14-4, Rosemont would score the final four goals of the game, punctuated by their final goal from Kristy Evans with 2:46 left in the game.
Nia Hall was strong again in goal for the Ravens. Hall stopped 10 goals from the Falcons' 14 shots on goal to earn her third win of the year.
The Falcons' Vivianna Samite and Emily Rodenberger each scored a pair for Cedar Crest.
The Ravens' next assignment comes on Thursday when they will host the Cabrini Cavaliers at the Ravens Athletic Complex in a 4:00pm CSAC game.
