How It Happened
With the game played mostly in a raw deluge, the teams opened the first half each taking three shots, but both sides came up empty to go into the half tied scoreless.

Notre Dame's Raeden McCullough took a ball away from one of the Ravens defenders and sped ahead of the pack for 50 yards before scoring the first goal of the game, beating Rosemont keeper Jenna Kaiser from only 10 yards out to give the Gators a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute.

Just over 28 minutes later, Victoria Kasper was taken down with an illegal tackle in the penalty box, and was awarded a penalty kick, which she did not miss, tying the game at 1-1 in the 80th minute.
The Ravens' second half was perhaps their best of the contest, outshooting Notre Dame by a 7-2 count. The teams ended the half knotted with one goal apiece.

As strong as Rosemont appeared in the second half, the Gators stepped up their game in the overtime period, outshooting the Ravens 10-0 in overtime, but the Rosemont defense, along with Kaiser, playing her final game in a Rosemont uniform, was good enough to keep the visitors off of the scoreboard to secure the draw.
