Ravens End Season With Loss at Neumann

How It Happened
 
The Ravens couldn't get off the mark today, ceding four goals in the first half and one more in the second half en route to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Neumann Knights.
 
Neumann's Jake McDevitt scored 7:06 into the game on a pass from Christian Cortese to start the scoring. Cortese then added two goals of his own; one in the 20th minute, and another almost five minutes later. Cortese assisted on a goal from Jonathan Cobb to make it 4-0 in the 39th minute.
 
Neumann added one more off of a corner kick to end the scoring for the afternoon.
 
Ravens' Top Performers
 
  • Malcolm Mitchell took three shots, one on goal.
  • Anthony Bottoms shot one on target to show for his two shot attempts.
  • Cavit Ula attempted three shots.
  • Goalkeeping was split today, with Zach Bowe stopping nine of 14 Neumann shots. Sean Iannellli played the final 30:32 in goal, making four stops on five shots from the Knights.
 
For the Knights
 
  • Christian Cortese scored two goals, taking five shots overall with three on target. He was also credited with two assists.
  • Jake McDevitt was credited with a goal and a couple of assists. He led the Knights with seven shots (five on target).
  • Alex Vazquez and Jonathan Cobb each scored a goal.
  • Abu Donzo had an assist.
