The Ravens and the Eagles played a close contest, but Rosemont never trailed

Location: Rosemont, Pa. - Ravens Athletic Complex

How It Happened

The Ravens shot out with two goals early in the contest with Ali Osorio claiming her first of the season followed by Victoria Kasper's third to take a 2-0 lead after less than five minutes would elapse. The second goal came with the Ravens a player up. The Eagles bounced back with two goals after another 2:31 elapsed to knot the game at 2-2. Rosemont then put together a four-goal run started by Jennifer South's ninth of the season on a free position shot. That was followed by two goals from Gina Ragona sandwiching a score from Victoria Kasper to put the Ravens in front 6-2 with 12:47 left in the half.

The Eagles would come back with two goals to make it 6-4 in favor of the Ravens, but Kasper would again find the net with 1:09 left in the half to give the Ravens a 7-4 lead heading into the break.

St. Elizabeth would carry momentum to begin the 2nd half, scoring three straight goals in a span of 4:36 to again tie the game, 7-7. The Ravens answered with two more goals, one from Jen South and another from Victoria Kasper in a stretch of only 1:05 to put the home side back up, 9-7, Although the Eagles would remain close with the Ravens the rest of the half, Rosemont would be able to fend off St. Elizabeth for the remainder of the half to claim the win. Goals from South (2), Osorio and Madeline Polino down the stretch ensured the Ravens would earn the "W" and deliver their first win to new Head Coach, Kasey McCusker.
