Ravens Lose To Rival Cavaliers

The Basics

How It Happened

Rosemont and rival Cabrini College played a scoreless first 29 minutes in a half that saw the Ravens carry the play. At the half-hour mark Rosemont would take the lead on an own goal scored by Cabrini's defense past keeper Gabby LeGendre. The two sides played out the final 15 minutes of the half, with the Ravens taking a 1-0 lead to the half. Rosemont outshot Cabrini in the first 45 minutes 7-4.

In half number two the scoring started again, but this time it was the Cavaliers that would find the back of the net on a direct kick from Taylor Tralie at 49:53. Unfortunately for Rosemont the tie was short-lived as 56 seconds later Cabrini took the lead on the second goal of the day for Tralie. From there neither side would score again and the Cavaliers left the field victorious 2-1. Second half shots heavily favored Cabrini 12-4.

Ravens' Top Performers
·        Emily Johnston led Rosemont with three shots (two on goal).
·        Payton Kanagie added three shots as well (one on goal).
·        Victoria Kasper chipped in with two shots (one on goal).
·        Keeper Jenna Kaiser made eight saves.

For the Cavaliers
·        Taylor Tralie led Cabrini with three shots (all on goal) and scored twice.
·        Kelsee Tironi had four shots (two on goal).
·        Alex Garces and Brittany Runyen each added two shots
·        Keeper Gabby LeGendre earned the win.
