Ravens Come Up Empty Against Albright

MSOC handed second straight shutout at Swarthmore

The Basics
  • Final Score: Albright 2, Rosemont 0
  • Records: Rosemont 1-2 – Albright 1-2
  • Ravens were outscored 7-0 in the pair of games played at Swarthmore this weekend
  • Location: Clothier Field, Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, Pa.

How It Happened

Albright opened up the scoring today in the 8th minute with a goal by Josh Linsmeier, who controlled the ball in the box after a corner. The opponent's goal put a charge into the Ravens, who controlled time of possession for the remainder of the half, leading to some excellent scoring chances. Unfortunately, the ball remained outside of the net as the Ravens trailed the Lions 1-0 at the half.

Albright struck again early in the second half when Steve Bien-Aime booted one home inside the far post. This half, though, Albright had more control of the offense, and although the Ravens still had some good scoring chances in the half, the team couldn't seal the deal on the scoreboard. Kaushik Dhanyamraju and Nick Bombard played strong games on the front line, and the entire team showed no lack of effort on the field today, but without the goals to show for it.
