ROSEMONT, Pa - With every hit, the teeth chattered. With every goal by the visitors, the air temperature seemed to drop about five degrees. And with every loss, Rosemont's men's lacrosse team seems to fall into the deep freeze.
Playing against a very good Hood College squad, the Ravens found themselves out in the cold early, surrendering eight goals in the first quarter during a 16-3 rout on Wednesday night played in sub-freezing wind chills at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
Rosemont is now 0-5 on the season, having been outscored by an 87-23 margin in those games. With just two more games until the Colonial States Athletic Conference season gets underway, things can only get better.
Mark Porter was a bright spot for the Ravens, making 17 saves while facing 55 shots from a Hood attack that just kept coming in waves. The Blazers were especially dominant in the first 15 minutes, executing some stellar passes to get into good scoring positions.
Brandon Krauss, Sal Turelli and Ben Koszelak were responsible for Rosemont's three goals on the night.
The Ravens are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Manhattanville College.
