And for Rosemont's softball team. the school record six-game winning streak that they generated over the past three weeks came to a halt on the road in upstate Pennsylvania. The Ravens were done in by the big inning, as Marywood blistered them with an eight run second inning in Game 1 and a six-run first inning in Game 2 during a 15-0, 10-1 doubleheader sweep Tuesday afternoon at Pacers Field.
Marywood's bats were the story, connecting on 18 hits in Game 1 before following up with 13 more during Game 2.
The Ravens managed six hits- all singles- in the opener and five in Game 2. Only one of those hits in the nightcap was an extra-base hit- a double by Madison Hagerty.
Rosemont will take the rest of the holiday week off before returning a week from Wednesday at Neumann University.
