ROSEMONT, Pa - For once in this endless winter of a spring, it felt like summer. Warm, sunny and beautiful for softball.
For Rosemont's offense, however, that old chill at the plate didn't thaw out.
The Ravens combined to produce only six hits in two games, dropping a doubleheader to neighborhood rival Cabrini by 10-2 and 10-0 margins Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest before a packed house at the  Ravens Athletic Complex.
It's 12 losses in a row for the Ravens, all inside the CSAC. During that 12 game losing streak, the Ravens have been outscored 119-12, including five shutouts. They have only generated six or more hits in four of those games.Â
Against Cabrini- one of the best teams in the CSAC- the runs were at a premium. And Cavs pitchers Jess Giordano in game one (7 IP, 2 ER, 5 H) and Casey Shueurin in game 2Â (5 IP, one hit to Kayleigh Whalen in the fourth) made sure that the Ravens offense was on lock down for most the day.
Rosemont did receive a strong Game 1 pitching performance from Autumn Sharkey, who kept the Ravens in it until some insurance runs in the seventh inning by the Cavs put the game away.
Rosemont is back in action on Monday when they will travel to nearby Neumann University to start two straight on the road. The Ravens return home next Saturday against Cedar Crest to begin three straight home games to wrap up the season.
