GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - This is not the ideal way to go into the off-season.
Rosemont's lacrosse team couldn't get any offense going, were outshot by a 63-13 margin and were shutout by Gwynedd-Mercy by a 15-0 Wednesday night in the Colonial States Athletic Conference season finale at Gwynedd-Mercy.
Rosemont's season finishes with a 1-14 mark and a 1-6 record within the CSAC.Â
The Ravens had trouble scoring for most of the season. But the Griffins defense- considered one of the most stout within the CSAC and a big reason why Gwynedd-Mercy is going to the league playoff next week- gave them no room and controlled the action for most of the game.
Mark Porter recorded 17 saves for the Griffins on this night, capping off a great freshman season.
