ROSEMONT, Pa - After four games of searching for the right offensive formula, the Rosemont women's soccer team found it in a hurry on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ravens scored three goals in 7 1/2 minutes in the first half during a 4-0 win over Brooklyn College in a non-conference win at the Rosemont Athletic Complex.
It was Rosemont's first win of the season after being shut out in the first four contest of the year. They were aggressive on the entire afternoon, keeping the Bulldogs on their heels and earning the first head coaching win for Ryan Hartzell.
Maciana Mazzeo scored two goals, including the first one of the game at the 10 minute mark where she deflected a clearing kick by Bulldogs goalkeeper Kaura Amanpreet into the back of the net.
The offense opened up after that. Madeline Polino would score the second goal on a nasty set-up pass from Destiny Castro. Fifty-three seconds later, Emily Johnston would tally her first goal of the season on a crossing pass from Avery Bramell.
Mazzeo would add the second goal of her afternoon midway through the second half.
Rosemont is now off until Monday, when they will host Rutgers-Camden.
