Maciana Mazzeo had given the Rosemont women's soccer team a late chance to pick up the Ravens first CSAC win of the season on Saturday.
However, it was not meant to be as Cairn's Sara Hayduchok scored a sudden victory goal with 55 seconds left in the first overtime to lift the Highlanders to a 2-1 victory over the Ravens in CSAC contest in Langhorne.
Mazzeo had evened the score at 1 with just over 11 minutes left to play, earning her fourth goal of the season with a shot that got past Highlanders goalkeeper Mackenzie Paugh.
However, Cairn controlled the pace of play in the overtime.
Emma Lindsay made one save to keep play going, but couldn't stop Hayduchok's shot as the first 10-minute period was nearing its end.
The Ravens are now 1-8 overall and 0-2 within the CSAC. They will return home on Tuesday night to face Centenary in a CSAC contest at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
