Bryn Athyn, PA- The men's soccer team faced Bryn Athyn College in an away matchup on Saturday afternoon and won 4-2. Rosemont was the more aggressive team throughout the game and played extremely well. Senior,
Josh Dawicki scored the first goal for Rosemont at the 22:48 mark of the first half. Rosemont played superb defense in the first half and took a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Rosemont out shot Bryn Athyn 14-6 on the first half.
Coming out of halftime, Rosemont wasted no time as Sophomore,
Josh Mason scored in the first two minutes of the second half with an assist by
Alioune Sy to give Rosemont a 2-0 lead. Bryn Athyn scored two goals in a span of five minutes to tie the game at 2-2 at the 55 minute mark of the game. It was a defensive battle for much of the second half before freshman,
Alex Arriola scored a goal, assisted by
Grant Gonzalez, with two minutes left in the game to give Rosemont a 3-2 lead. Arriola also scored another goal at the 89:33 mark to extend Rosemont's lead to 4-2. Senior goal keeper,
Grant Gonzalez, had four saves on the day.Â
The Ravens played an excellent offensive game and out shot Bryn Athyn 30-16. It was an impressive win for Rosemont and the offense seemed to click. Rosemont now has a season high four game winning streak.
Rosemont's record is now 7-7-1. The Ravens look to extend their winning streak to 5 games as they hit the road to take on Keystone College on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00 pm.
