Allentown, PA- The Rosemont women's soccer season came to an end on Wednesday evening with a 1-0 loss to the Cedar Crest Falcons in the CSAC Semifinal game after two overtime periods.
The Ravens, who were on a three-game win streak, that included a win over Notre Dame of Maryland University in the quarterfinals on Monday, finish the season at 8-8-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the CSAC conference.Â
Cedar Crest will advance to play Cairn University in the CSAC Championship game on Saturday.Â
The Ravens spent most of the game on defense as the attack of the Falcons was aggressive. The Ravens only attempted four shots in 107 minutes of play, compared to the 21 shots taken by the Falcons.Â
Goal keeper,
Emma Lindsay, kept the game within reach for the Ravens with ten huge saves. The strong defense of the Ravens could only hold on for so long, until CSAC Player of the Year, Daria Warner, scored a goal at the 106:53 mark.Â
This was the final game for Rosemont senior,
Emily Johnston, who finishes her career with 12 goals and seven assists.Â
