Kelly Shaughnessy won her match at No. 5 singles and was also part of the successful effort at No. 3 doubles as Rosemont's women's tennis team battles Eastern University close before falling 5-4 in a non-conference match at the Ravens Tennis Complex.
The freshman from Upper Darby defeated Allison Ryan by a 6-1, 6-2 margin, then teammed up with teammate
Jesse Galvin for a 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles over Allison Ryan and Nicole Hege.
Also winning matches for the Ravens on Tuesday was
Chase Leonard, a three set winner over Cara Degnan and
Charli Fillmore, who posted a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles over Emily Stevens.
Rosemont will travel to Immaculata on Wednesday for another non-conference match. They will return home next Tuesday to face Cabrini.
