DOVER, Del. -
Ben Koszelak scored four times while
Brandon Krausse and
Sal Turelli scored twice to help the cause. However, it was not enough to keep the Rosemont men's lacrosse team from dropping a non-conference contest to Wesley College by a 12-9 margin Saturday afternoon in Dover, Del.
The game was a make-up of a contest postponed on Feb. 20 due to winter weather conditions.
The Ravens (1-2) were able to take an early 3-1 lead thanks to Turelli's two goals and a Koszelak tally on the man-advantage early in the second quarter. However, Wesley was able to start an offensive explosion thanks to goals by Adam Tewey (2), Cody Loyd (2) and Kyle Mackall-Lloyd to grab a 6-4 lead at halftime.
Rosemont would tie the game after on goals by Koszelak and Krausse before the Wolverines would pop off four straight goals, including two by Zach Farnell.
Krausse, Koszelak and
Alex Hewitt would all score to bring Rosemont back within 10-9. But the Ravens would get no closer thanks to Derek Hallock and a man-up tally from Leo Kelly would salt the game away late.
Mark Porter would make 12 saves for Rosemont, who is off for spring break and will resume play next Saturday at Moravian College
