ROSEMONT - The final home game for the 2019 season was- in many ways- the toughest of all for the Rosemont men's lacrosse team.
The Ravens battled tough through three quarter, but saw their playoff hopes fade away with a 16-9 loss to Bryn Athyn Wednesday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
The loss eliminated Rosemont (3-10, 2-3 CSAC) from the CSAC Tournament with one game to go against Kane on Tuesday night. Had the Ravens won this game, they would have had a tiebreaker over Bryn Athyn for the fourth and final spot in the tournament.
For most of the night, the Ravens offense clicked and put them in a position to hang around against the Lions.
Ben Koszelak's third goal of the night with 3:10 left in the third quarter brought Rosemont within 9-8 and had the Complex jumping.
But Bryn Athyn (4-7, 3-2 CSAC) saw Nolan Bosserman score three times in the fourth quarter- couped with a pair of goals by James Vandergrift to help put the Lions in the drivers seaat.
Koszelak was joined by
Sal Turelli, who scored three goals of his own.
Dylan Hummel had two goals and an assists while
Brandon Krausse added three assists of his own.
