SWARTHMORE, PA-  The Rosemont College men's soccer team fell to Alvernia University in their season opener with a final score of  0-5. The Golden Wolves wasted no time getting on the board with a goal five minutes in. The Ravens ended the half down 0-2. 

The Ravens tried to recover in the second half, but the Golden Wolves were able to quickly add their third goal to the board in the 46th minute followed by two more goals; one in the 49th minute and one in the 68th minute. The defense of the Golden Wolves was stifling as they were able to hold Rosemont to just two shots on the game. Both Rosemont seniors, Alioune Sy and Josh Dawicki, were able to get a shot off on goal. 

Senior goalie, Grant Gonzalez, had 3 saves on the day. 

The Ravens have a quick turnaround and will look to rebound in their game tomorrow against Arcadia University at 1:00 pm at Swarthmore College.
