Ravens Make History by Finishing Their Season as the Top Seed in the CSAC

Rosemont, PA—The Ravens Men's Soccer team celebrated an outstanding Senior Night game with a 4-0 victory that sealed them as the top seed in the CSAC and earned them a first round bye in the conference playoffs. SO Matthew Pattison scored his 4th goal of the season and the game winner within 90 seconds of the start of the game with an assist from SO Kaiden Fields. The Ravens continued to dominate the remainder of the half with 15 shots and scored twice more before halftime. Three minutes later, SO Kaiden Fields scored his 17th goal of the season with assist from FR Tai Torres.

The highlight of the evening was SR Zachary Young's goal in the 82nd minute with the assist from SO Kaiden Fields. Young's header was the first goal in his career which he earned on his senior night surrounded by his family and friends. The Ravens outshot the Defenders 22 to 3, SO goalkeeper Todd Berman only needed to make 2 saves.

After scoring the game winner, we spoke with SO Matthew Pattison, who said, "Locking up the #1 seed was only one of our goals as a team. Although the job is not done. We have so much left to cross off the list and we intend to do it all. I couldn't be prouder of this team and what we've accomplished so far".

Co-captain SR Will Boehmer said "Tonight was a great game. I'm happy to have two seniors on the scoresheet on senior night! We are excited to have clinched the top spot in the conference and eager to get back to work and prepare for the playoffs! The CSAC championship is the expectation and we are excited to make that expectation a reality. We will still be taking everything one step at a time and will be watching closely next Saturday to see who we will play on November 3rd. I am so proud of our guys!". Co-captain JR Alex Arriola commented after the match saying, "It was a great team result. Everyone did their jobs defensively by marking their men and offensively by opening up space. Now it's time to make history together as a team. We are really changing the culture of Rosemont and great things are going to happen!"

The Ravens have earned a first round bye in the CSAC tournament and will return to action on November 3rd in the conference semi-finals; opponent to be determined.
