Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Ravens MSOC Falls in Opener

Aston, PA-The Rosemont Men's Soccer team returned to the pitch for an official match for the first time team in 694 days, falling at Neumann University by a score of 2-0. A lot has changed since the Raven's heart-breaking 1-0 loss to Keystone College in the 2019 CSAC Championship. In addition to the annual roster changes, Rosemont is now led by John Loiodice, who made his head coaching debut in the loss.

Loidice and his young squad were up to the task for the first 23 minutes of the game before a Neumann counter attack led to a scoring opportunity which resulted in a penalty kick, converted by Neumann's Marlon Trejo. Neumann added another goal 15 minutes later for a lead that would prove to be insurmountable.

Rosemont responded well and at times controlled play in the second half but was unable to find the back of the net. Coach Loiodice said, "Unfortunately not the result we wanted but we competed for 90 minutes. The second half was a bright spot as we were able to dictate tempo. The future is bright, our team showed a ton of character and promise moving forward."

Rosemont returns to action on Monday for their home opener at 4:00 PM against King's College of NY.
