BACK-TO-BACK CSAC CHAMPS!!

Rosemont, PA – In front of a packed crowd at the Ravens Athletic Complex, the Rosemont Men's Soccer team captured their second straight CSAC championship, and the conferences' automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, by defeating Cairn University 2-1 Saturday evening.

The two team played a close first half, before Cairn got the scoring started in the 59 minute on a goal by Jesse Brittian. The Ravens rallied and tied the match in the 77 minute with a goal by Kevin Sousa on a assist by Clayton Crosse. Under five minutes in the second half, first-year midfield Malher Santiago Possu scored what would be the game winner on a assist from Matthew Pattison. The Ravens held a decisive 30-6 shot advantage including a 20-3 edge in the second half. The Ravens also held an 8-2 margin in corner kicks.

With the win, the Ravens (10-2-5 overall, 5-0-2 CSAC) advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year and will find out their first-round opponent Monday.
