Dennis Leads Team with 5 Goals Against Immaculata

Immaculata, PA-The Ravens faced a tough loss against Immaculata University, losing 18-13. The Ravens opened the scoring within the first minute of the game with goal from SR Mason Dennis with assist from FR Navarro Blakes. Immaculata answered to tie the game at 13:29, but the Ravens followed up with 2 goals from Dennis and Blakes for the second goal and FR Greg Wever with assist from SR Liam O'Connor. The Ravens and the Mighty Macs continued to battle goal for goal, but the Ravens lost the first quarter 4-6. Blakes scored the 4th goal for the Ravens unassisted.
 
SR Brandon Krausse scored the first of two goals in the second quarter with another assist from Blakes and Dennis Scored his third goal of the game unassisted, to bring the Ravens up to 6 goals. Unfortunately, the Ravens conceded 4 goals and headed into half-time down 6-10.
 
The Mighty Macs pulled away with a big lead in the 3rd quarter, putting up 6 goals. Blakes scored his first goal of the match, unassisted, only 56 seconds into the quarter. SR Liam O'Connor netted his first goal of the match, assisted by Blakes, and SO Shawn-Thomas McConnell scored the Ravens 9th goal before heading into the final quarter.
 
The Ravens entered the 4th quarter down 9-16, but McConnell came out strong to earn the Raven's 10th goal, with assist from Dennis. Dennis went on to score 2 more goals in the quarter, with 1 assisted by Wever, and O'Connor scored in the final quarter as well. Even though the Ravens outscored the Mighty Macs 4 to 2 in the 4th quarter, they were unable to make up the deficit from the first 3.

SR Goalkeeper Kenny Wiggins recorded 13 saves. SR Mason Dennis led the team with 5 goals, followed by SR Liam O'Connor with 2, FR Navarro Blakes with 2, SO Shawn-Thomas McConnell with 2, SR Brandon Krausse with 1, and FR Greg Wever with 1. Blakes led with 4 assists for the game. So Tyron Hutchinson-Puryear earned 8 ground balls, followed by SR John Martinelli with 6, and SR Osaze Thornton, SR Mason Dennis, SR Liam O'Connor, and FR Justin Olbrich with 4 each. Thorton also led the team with 4 causes turnovers. 
 
Rosemont will be back in action Saturday, April 2nd on the road at Cairn University at 7:00pm.
