Clarks Summit, PA| Men's Soccer Traveled to Clarks Summit to Take on the Defenders on Their Home Turf.
How it Happened:
From the start of the game Rosemont kept the ball down in their offensive zone, setting up four separate corner looks in the first 11' of the game. Followed by shots from
John Pepe, Sean Millelli,
Matthew Pattison, and Aidan Sommers, but they were all off target as Coach Loiodice decided to bring in fresh legs in the 26'. With some offensive pressure from Clarks Summit towards the end of the half, Rosemont made the adjustments needed ending the first half 0-0. Starting the second half Rosemont would find an opportunity early,
Justin Thomas broke through for a shot of the woodwork as it lead to a Rosemont corner. Not long after on a great cross from Sean Millelli,
Justin Thomas would erase that shot off the post and find the back of the net giving Rosemont a 1-0 lead 55' into the match. Clarks Summit would respond with their own goal in the 61' only for
Max Hawk to catch a breakaway pass from the kickoff by
Tai Torres dashing for a goal in the 62' giving Rosemont a 2-1 lead. Coach Loiodice and his team would make changes in the 65' bringing on fresh legs would break the Clarks Summit defense one last time as the defenseman
Sean Rodriguez found the back of the net from a pass from
Shawn-Thomas McConnell giving Rosemont a 3-1 lead. The men would continue to pound the Clarks Summit defensive zone with numerous corners and shot attempts but could not find the back of the net and credit to the Clarks Summit goalkeeper, the match ended 3-1 Rosemont.
