Clarks Summit, PA| The Girls Traveled to Clarks Summit to Take on the Defenders on Their Home Pitch.
How it Happened:
From kickoff Rosemont got a good jump,
Rena Kotsedakis found her self with the ball seeing
Danielle DiMarco dashing for a breakaway beating the defense for the first goal 2' into the match. The girls would continue to fire shots on the Defenders goal but to no prevail, the Defenders would intercept a pass breaking for their first goal of the match tying it up 1-1 in the 29'. Rosemont's fierce offense took that personally and
Danielle DiMarco dashed through the center of the defense teeing up a solo goal in the 33' minute to take a 2-1 lead. Coach DeLitta would make changes in the 36' and 39' bringing fresh legs on, Clarks Summit capitalized taking a shot on goal that was muffed tying up the game 2-2 in the 41'. Without trouble the half would end tied 2-2.
The 2nd half had some back and forth at the beginning of the half giving both team opportunities to score. Rosemont would have a series of good looks from the 50-65' mark and would continue to pound the Defenders defensive zone until
Rena Kotsedakis cut back and found a seem, dotting a cross to
Avery Buniak who cleaned up the pass for the final goal of the game giving Rosemont a 3-2 lead with time winding down. The girls would hold on to win 3-2 extending their in conference record to 3-2-2 in conference.
