Myrtle Beach, SC – The Ravens came out of the gate swinging and running in both games.  Pitchers Lauren Begg and Dani Sharpe kept the opponents off the bases 'til the late innings.  But a series of late miscues by the defense turned each game to the opponent's advantage. 
Game 1: Sr. Lauren Begg went 3 for 4 and added a RBI, and So. Myora Slaughter went 3 for 3, 2 steals, and scored a run.  Dani Sharpe (1-0) takes the loss giving up 6 hits and 4 earned in the loss; Cougars 8, Ravens 2.
Game 2: Sr. Captain, Emily Bingman, went 2 for 4 and scored a run, Sr. Jade Gomez-Chavarria went 2 for 4, scored a run and added a RBI.  Kendyll Strohl continued her prolific thievery adding 3 more bags to her collection and Gomez-Chavarria and Myora Slaughter added a steal each. Lauren Begg (1-0) gave up 5 hits and 3 earned in the loss; Yellow Jackets 8, Ravens 3.
Ravens (2-2) continue the tournament on Wednesday, Mar. 8 at 3pm against Regis (MA)/7pm against Kings (PA)
