Ravens Split with Falcons: 6-0, 7-13

Allentown, PA  – The Ravens took their offense on the road and stirred up the dust!

Game 1: All-CSAC nominee, Sr. Lauren Begg (6-6) started and went 4 for 4, scored 4 times, stole a base, and closed out the game in the circle with a 7.0 inning shutout.  Three Ravens hit doubles: Kendyll Strohl (2 for 4: 1 dbl, 2 Runs, 2 RBI, 2 SBs), and 2X All-CSAC nominee, So. Olivia Hamme went 2 for 3, 1 Dbl, 2 RBI.  The Ravens notched 6 runs on 10 hits, 6 RBI, 2 BBs, and 2 SBs.  Ravens 6, Falcons 2.

Game 2: All-CSAC nominee and 2-yr Captain, Sr. Dani Sharpe (4-5) started game two and threw extremely well for 4 innings.  The Ravens added a pair of insurance runs in the top of the 5th but the bottom of the 5th went sideways for the Ravens.  The Falcons knocked Sharpe out of the game after plating 3 runs and tying up the game.  Begg returned to the circle but could not get a 3rd out before the Falcons took the lead, 6-7.   The Ravens could not get out of the 7th inning allowing the Falcons to score 6 off 7 hits and an error.  Ravens 7, Falcons 13.  The teams split and set up a tie-break situation for top seed, in which the Ravens currently hold the advantage.

Rosemont (13-13, 8-2 CSAC) will host Immaculata on Thursday, April 20 at 4:30pm/6:30pm under the lights.
