Rosemont, PA| The Rosemont Men's Soccer Team Host Penn State Abington to Kick off the Double Header for Men's and Women's Soccer.
How it Happened:
Gunner Hoffman Started between the posts for the Ravens as they kicked off their second home conference contest of the year.
Early shots for the nittany Lions pressuring the Rosemont defense as gunner hoffman made two great saves to start the game. Back and forth through the first half as both teams found opportunities an shots. the Ravens were able to find five shots but unable to put a shot on target as they went into the half tied 0-0.Â
Rosemont would find nine more shots in the second half, putting only four of their fourteen shots for the match on target. Shots from
John Dinoto and
Timothy Kane were on target but saved by the Nittany Lions keeper. Penn State would pressure the Rosemont defense in spurts making the defense have to adjust and created opening leading to the Nittany Lions goal at 75' giving them a 1-0 advantage over the Ravens. The Nittany Lions would hold onto this lead not before shots from
Savien Castro and
Mason Quinton tryng to tie the match in the finals minutes which were ultimately saved. The Ravens would fall to the Nittany Lions of Abinton 0-1.
What's Next:
Rosemont will have a needed break were they will return to action next Wednesday as the Ravens host their in conference rivals the Cairn Highlanders as they look to get back in the winners circle.
