Saint Davids, PA| Rosemont College Traveled down the road to Eastern University to take on the Eagles on their home Field.
How it Happened:
Game 1:Â
On a sunny Tuesday Rosemont started the double header with Graduate student
Lauren Begg on the mound. She would on have one earned run through the entire on game on 120 pitches. Through the first inning, Eastern came out of the dugout hot and their bats were on fire putting the ball in play against the Ravens. Lauren did all she could to get out of the bottom of the first and give the bats a chance while the team found themselves down two runs after one inning. Rosemont would never get the offense going for the Lady Ravens, recording only two hits in the game coming off the bats of
Lauren Begg and
Olivia Hamme. Rosemont would lose the first game 7-0, as the main story of the games were the five errors made, taking all potential momentum away for the Ravens.
Game 2:
The second game at Eastern the clouds rolled in and wiped away they sun.
Alicia Gotts started on the mound for the Ravens. The Ravens did a better job of managing the errors in the second game backing up the pitching with only one error. The Ravens bats stayed stagnant though as the only recorded three hits off the pitching from Eastern, coming off the bats of
Kylee Kubitschek,
Alicia Gotts, and
Lauren Begg.
Alicia Gotts allowed four runs on 3 innings pitches followed by
Lauren Begg who pitched for one Innning allowing 3 runs on 4 hits.
What's Next:
Rosemont will Travel to Immaculata to take them on on their home turf 3/21 at 3pm in another double header.
