Men's Soccer Secures Big Win over Wilkes in Non-Conference Play

Rosemont, PA| Rosemont Hostest Women's and Men's Soccer on Saturday the 21st at 1pm and 3:30pm. The Men took on the Wilkes University Colonels in the Second Game of this Double Header.
How it Happened:

Gunner Hoffman Started the game between the posts for the Ravens as they kicks off their fourth home contest of the year.
A defensive Match-up for the first half as bth teams took their time to get a gauge for defensive and offensive schemes. An Early shot by Wilkes was saved by Gunner Hoffman as Rosemont pushed the defense of the Colones. Shots by Jayakanthan Lorenzo and Sean Milelli would show the ravens had early opportunities as they would win the possession battle for the game. A barrage of shots from the Rosemont offense would continue to press the Colonels into the half, including three shots by Justin Thomas, the first half would end 0-0.
The second half would start fast for the Ravens and excitement as Savien Castro struck in his first goal of the year on an assist from Timothy Hall, giving the Ravens a 1-0 advantage in the 51'. Wilkes would respond quickly with a goal of their own to even up the score in the 53' 1-1. Rosemont would work fast moving the ball into their offensive zone off off the kickoff. Coaches Loiodice and Hanuscin firing up the team from the sideline as Sean Milelli would fire and score from a great ball from Michael Sandoval. This would give the Ravens a 2-1 advantage in the 56' as all three goals in the game would be scored in the five minutes of time. Almost full substitutions by the Ravens to ensure Freshness on the field and continue to pressure Wilkes as time expired. Rosemont would hold on to win a statement game 2-1.

Rosemont will host The College of New Jersey at 7pm on Wednesday September 25th as the look for back to back wins. Go Ravens!
