How it Happened:
Emily Rossino would start between the posts for the Ravens, as they would et an early jump in the game putting the pressure on the Nittany Lions. A barrage of shots by multiple Ravens before
Rena Kotsedakis would find the Ravens first goal giving the girls a 1-0 advantage late in the 11'.
Anna Nicosia would score her first Collegiate goal 50 second later in the match to give the Ravens an early 2-0 advantage. The Ravens would continue to hold the offensive advantage as shots by Erin Mclaughlin and
Kassidy Phillips were saved.
Sarah Warner would find the back of the net off an assist from Erin Mclaughlin to give the Ravens a 3-0 advantage in the 26'. A foul by Rosemont would set up a goal for the Nittany Lions as the half would end 3-1.Â
As the second half started Rosemont would continue to pressure the Nittany Lions defense shots by Erin Mcalughlin
Cassidy Smith saved by the keeper.
Sarah Warner would finder her second goal of the game to give the Ravens a 4-1 Lead in the 62' The Ravens defense would continue to keep the ball on the other side of the field setting up multiple shot opportunities for the Ravens.
Rena Kotsedakis would have two goals and six shots in the match along with
Sarah Warner with two goals and five shots of her own. Erin Mclaughlin,
Kassidy Phillips and
Cassidy Smith would all have four shots in the contest as
Amanda Ritter (GK) and
Brianna Samson would hold the lions to zero in the second half. The Ravens win 4-1!
