Bryn Mawr, PA | The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed the Keystone Giants to The Rosemont Athletic Complex for a Conference Double Header.
How it Happened: Starting in the circle and throwing a complete game for the Ravens in game One was #12 Josie Krieman
There were multiple lead changes and some late inning excitement, but the Ravens were able to edge out the Giants with a 4-3 walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh inning.Â
The Ravens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, as
#21 Kendyll Strohl started the action with a double, followed by
#14 Emilee Dickinson with a double of her own. In the second inning Strohl would keep the scoring going as she had a 2 run RBI single. Keystone would respond in the 3rd with a two run rally lead by a Benitez single, followed by RBIs from both Morley and Mandarano evening the score at 3 a piece.Â
Down 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Ravens were able to put together a rally lead by a single from
#7 Alicia Gotts and a walk from
#24 Olivia Hamme. Because of a wild pitch, both Alicia and Olivia were able to advance to 2nd and 3rd. Freshman
#1 Maria Harrison would come up big as she drove in the tying run, allowing
Olivia Hamme to advanced to 3rd. With runners on the corners and two outs, Keystone wasn't able to hold on and the Ravens would seal their comeback. Â
Game Two: Starting in the circle was #32 Caitlin LaGreca
Giants would get off to an early lead scoring 3 runs in the second inning. Rosemont answered in the third with a two-run double from
Dickinson, which cut the lead down to one run. Ravens would tie the game in the fifth when
Hamme had an RBI single, scoring
Gotts. Keystone would then respond in the 7th winning the game 4-3.Â
The Ravens will look to bounce back on Tuesday April 22nd as the travel to Maryland to take on Notre Dame of Maryland in a conference match up.Â
