Michael Denton

Coach Mike Denton is entering his first season as Head Junior Varsity Baseball Coach and Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach.
 
Coach Denton graduated from Prairie State College (Chicago Heights, IL) in 2021 with an Associate’s degree, before transferring to Rosemont College receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management in 2023. A year later he also received his Master’s in Business Administration from Rosemont.
 
Denton pitched at Prairie State College from 2019 - 2021, leading the team in pitching appearances every season and was a team captain. He transferred to Rosemont College as a member of the inaugural baseball team. He later became a team captain during the 2023 and 2024 seasons and completed his college career with the most appearances (58) of any Ravens pitcher over the first three years of the program. 
 
During his time at Rosemont, Coach Denton was an CSAC All-Academic in 2022 and United East All-Academic in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He was also the inaugural winner of the Baseball Coach’s Award in 2024. In the summer of 2022, he played for Old World Baseball in Prague Baseball Week pitching against the Czech National and the Spain National Baseball teams. 
 
Finally, Mike was the President and the Conference Representative for the Rosemont Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (RSAAC) where he represented Rosemont at the NCAA Convention in 2023 and 2024.
 
Denton is from Country Club Hills, IL, and currently resides in Wilmington, DE.
