Ravens Stay Undefeated in Conference Play

Ula Goal Stands Up In 1-0 Win at Baptist Bible

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Cavit Ula was in the right position, pouncing on a rebound off of a Luke McIlvaine shot in the 76th minute to strike the carom into the goal to give the Ravens a tense 1-0 win over the Baptist Bible College Defenders. The win kept the Ravens undefeated in CSAC play with a 4-0 conference record (5-7 overall). The Defenders fell to 4-10 (2-3 CSAC) with the decision.

Max McDonald earned the shutout win, stopping 4 shots on goal from Baptist Bible. It was McDonald's fifth win of the season and his 2nd shutout for 2014.

The Ravens made the most of their opportunities, with half of their 12 shots on goal. The Defenders out-shot the Ravens by a count of 19-12, but only four of their shots were on-goal (21%).

The Defenders had a corner kick with seconds left in the game, but a foul against Baptist Bible in front of goal terminated that last opportunity and sealed the win for the Ravens.

The men will return home for their next game, which will be a CSAC contest against the Cairn Highlanders. The game is scheduled for Wednesday night, 10/15, with a 7pm kickoff.
