ROSEMONT – The Rosemont College men's soccer team fell behind early on two penalty kicks awarded to the Cabrini Cavaliers and were kept off the board by the visitors who claimed an 8-0 victory at the Ravens Athletic Complex this afternoon. The Cavaliers moved to 11-6 (6-2 CSAC) with the win, while the Ravens dropped to 5-11 overall (4-4 CSAC).
The Cavalier's AJ Bishop was rewarded penalty kicks in the 4th and 10th minutes of the game, and he did not fail his team as they took an early 2-0 lead with plenty of time left on the clock. Cabrini made it 3-0 in the 15th minute when Mohammed Konneh sent home a rebound off of a free kick to end the scoring in the half.
In the second half Cabrini's Bishop hit again off of a rebound for a hat trick and a commanding 4-0 lead. The Cavaliers would score goals in the 66th, 67th, 73rd, and in the last second to account for the final score.
Cabrini keeper CJ Serratore played over 75 minutes and earned the shutout, stopping two Rosemont shots.
The Ravens are home for the rest of their regular season schedule, starting with a non-conference game on Tuesday, 10/28 when they host the Goucher College Gophers at 7:00pm at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
