RADNOR, Pa. – The Rosemont women's soccer team made the short trip to Cabrini College hoping to earn their first program win against the Cavaliers in today's scheduled CSAC game. The loss dropped the Ravens to 4-3-2 (2-1 CSAC) while Cabrini upped their record to 3-6 (2-0 CSAC).
Cabrini's Dana Peterson scored off a corner kick just 2:10 into the game to give the home side an early 1-0 lead. About seven minutes later it was the Cavalier's Lisette Hrapmann scoring off a direct kick from 25 yards out to give the home side a 2-0 lead which they would not relinquish for the rest of the contest.
Rosemont's Lauren Whelan led the Ravens with four shots (two on goal) while her sister Courtney Whelan had one shot (on goal) to account for Rosemont's best scoring chances for the afternoon.
Cabrini'a Alivia Dietsch earned the shutout win while Rosemont keeper Jenna Kaiser made five saves on seven Cavalier shots on goal to take the loss.
The Ravens will play their final non-conference game of the regular season on Wednesday, 10/1 when the King's College Lady Monarchs come to the Ravens Athletic Complex for a 7:00pm game.
