BALTIMORE, Md. – After 110 minutes of play, the Rosemont (4-8-1, 3-3-1 CSAC) and Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators (8-3-1, 2-3-1) women's soccer teams would end the second overtime with a scoreless draw. For the Ravens, it was the first scoreless tie they have been involved in since 9/6/2014 when they hosted DeSales University, and only the third scoreless draw since the program started play in 2011.
The Ravens outshot the home side by a count of 16-13, with NDMU putting more shots on goal compared to Rosemont (9-7 advantage).
Rosemont keepers Andrea Dossantos (65 minutes) and Jenna Kaiser (45 minutes) shared the duties and split the shut out. Dossantos saved five shots on goal while Kaiser stopped the other four Gator shots on goal.
In the Rosemont goal, NDMU keeper Lilly Gordon stopped all seven Rosemont shots on goal to also get credited with the shutout.
Although none of the shots found the net today, Victoria Kasper led the Ravens with five shots (2 on frame). Savannah Widdicombe had four shots (2 on goal) and both of Madeline Polino's shots were on goal.
With the result, both teams pick up a precious point in the CSAC standings as they prepare for their next games. For the Ravens, that means a Senior Day game against the Cedar Crest Falcons on Saturday, 10/17 at the Ravens Athletic Complex. Game time is set for 1:00pm. For Senior Day, the team will pay tribute to their departing class of 2016 teammates: Andrea Dossantos, Alana Howell, Gina Ragona, Jennifer South, and Lauren Whelan.
