LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Rosemont men's soccer team were dealt a 2-0 shutout by the host Cairn University Highlanders this afternoon in their last game on the road this season. With the result the Ravens moved to 1-15-1 (1-7 CSAC). Cairn's overall record is now 8-8-1 (4-4 CSAC) and are still in the hunt for a postseason playoff berth.
In the 18th minute Cairn's Zack Nelson scored his 3rd goal of the season to put Cairn up 1-0. The Highlanders' Corey Nolan would score in the 65th minute to give the home side the insurance they were craving.
Zach Bowe saved seven of Cairn's nine shots on goal. Karim Yunez led the Ravens with four shots, two on frame.
The Ravens return home for their final game of the season on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm against the Neumann Knights. It will be Senior Day and the team will honor Vito DiSanti, Jim Finney, Brett Krajewski, Jeremy Reeve and Purnell Summers.
