ROSEMONT, Pa. – Under nasty weather conditions at the Ravens Athletic Complex, the visiting Keystone Giants (4-4-1, 1-1 CSAC) were a goal better than the host Ravens (0-9-1, 0-2 CSAC), winning by a score of 2-1.
As the clock was winding down in the final minute of the first half, Keystone's Aadil Mendez took a cross from Eddy Enowbi and hit a bullet into the right side of goal to give the Giants the 1-0 lead heading into the half.
The Ravens came up with an answer in the 54th minute when Javier Alvarado hit a shot into the left top corner of goal off of a set piece from 25 yards out to tie the score at 1-1. It was Alvarado's third goal of the season.
In the 73rd minute, Enowbi fed another teammate, Ofentse Kale with a cross that Kale put into the left side of goal from a few yards out to account for the final result.
Zach Bowe was solid in goal, stopping 10 of 12 shots on goal, especially considering the slippery conditions on the field and on the soccer ball.
Next up for the Ravens is a game against CSAC rival Immaculata on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:00pm at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
