ROSEMONT - The Rosemont women's soccer team had difficulty sparking their offense this afternoon, and were shut out by the visiting Cyclones of Centenary College by a 2-0 score in a CSAC game. With the result, both teams hold identical overall and conference records (4-7, 3-2 CSAC). The loss stopped the three-game winning streak put together by Rosemont.
For Centenary, Jessica Benoit scored off of a header directly from a corner kick to put the visitors up 1-0 in the 27th minute. The score stayed 1-0 until the 82nd minute, when Centenary would add an insurance goal when Amanda Benoit hit a cross that Lorraine Dedrick redirected into the goal.
Each of Rosemont's keepers ceded a goal, with Andrea Dossantos saving four shots on goal in the first half and Jenna Kaiser saving eight shots on goal in the second half.
Hannah Walsh stopped all four Rosemont shots on frame in the game and earned the shutout win.
The Ravens will end their season-long home stand on Saturday when they will host the Cabrini Cavaliers starting at 1:00pm in another CSAC game.
