Ravens Roll Over Highlanders

Three Ravens Net New Career Scoring Highs

Langhorne, PA – The Rosemont women's basketball squad (12-12, 8-7 CSAC) remained in the hunt for a  CSAC playoff berth after soundly defeating the host Cairn Highlanders (2-19, 0-15 CSAC) tonight by a final score of 93-29.

Trailing 5-2 early in the half, the Ravens took total control of the game, outscoring Cairn 52-13 the rest of the first half to take a 54-16 lead at the break.

The Ravens continued to control the game in the second half, tripling-up the Highlanders 39-13 in the period.

Rosemont held the Highlanders to 18.6% shooting from the field. The Ravens shot 46.2% from the floor, including Dominique Sellers shooting 66.7% from beyond the arc (4-for-6).

In a game that offered ample opportunity for the Rosemont starters to earn some well-earned rest, three Ravens set new career-highs in scoring.

Sellers shot 8-for-11 overall to lead the Ravens with 20 points, a new career high. Leilani Naone-Carter scored a career-high 19 points and tied her career-high 13 rebounds for her 2nd double-double of the season. Nadirah Anderson had her best game of the season, scoring a career-high 17 points with a career-best eight rebounds. Liz Coyne was limited to 16 minutes of play, scoring 15 points while she was in the game.

Amie Eppolito was the high scorer for Cairn with seven points followed by six points from Rikki Shingledecker.

With the win the Ravens are still in the thick of the battle for the last remaining playoff spot in the CSAC post-season tournament.

The Ravens' performance in their final regular season game may likely decide their post-season fate when they host the Neumann Knights on Senior Night. The game will be played in Alumnae Hall on Wednesday, 2/18 starting at 6:00pm.
