Women Win Convincingly at Baptist Bible for Third Straight

Ravens Move to 6-6 in CSAC

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Ravens (10-11, 6-6 CSAC) came out today with all pistons firing as they dominated the Baptist Bible College Defenders (1-18, 1-12 CSAC) on both ends of the floor resulting in an 82-32 win for the visiting Ravens. The win was the third consecutive for the Ravens.

The Ravens had already stretched out to a double-digit 12-2 lead with just over four minutes played to start the game, and they kept the pressure on from the starting tip to the end of the contest. Rosemont outscored Baptist Bible 54-15 in the first half and 28-17 in the second half, with most of the Rosemont starters getting some well-needed rest.

Liz Coyne played only 24 minutes, but in that time she shot 10-for-18 from the field to score 23 points to lead the Ravens. Her 13 rebounds capped her 14th double-double of the season. Kierra Smith also had a big day, pouring in 23 points with 15 rebounds to also earn a double-double. There were plenty of big, round numbers on the Raven's stat sheet this afternoon, as Rosemont had four players score in double-figures. In addition to Coyne and Smith, Jasmyn Parker and Dominique Sellers each scored 11. Carly Hislop had an effective afternoon, scoring six with eight boards while Nymira Nelson scored eight with six assists.

The Raven's defense managed to hold only one Defender to double-digits; that being Callie Kitowski with 10 points.

On the defensive side of the ball the Ravens oversaw the Defenders committing 25 turnovers, while Rosemont had 13. Rosemont had 18 steals in the game compared to three steals by Baptist Bible. The Ravens doubled-up the Defenders' shooting percentage with Rosemont shooting 44.4% from the field compared to 22.2% for Baptist Bible.

The Ravens see an end to their three straight away games on Wednesday when they travel to La Plume, Pa. to face the Keystone Giants in a key CSAC game. The tip-off time is scheduled for 7:00pm on 2/11.
