Aston, PA – In a rare "home" doubleheader played on the road, the Ravens (0-10, 0-2 CSAC) were defeated by the Neumann Knights (9-3, 4-0 CSAC) by scores of 16-2 and 12-0.
Game 1 – Neumann 7, Rosemont 0
Game 2 – Neumann 12, Rosemont 0 (5 inn.)
The Ravens had trouble figuring out Neumann pitcher Haley Broomell in the nightcap. Broomell shut out the Ravens over five innings, ceding two hits and a walk.
Neumann scored once in the first, twice in the third and once again in the fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead going into the fifth inning. In the decisive top of the fifth the Knights put eight runs on the board on eight hits.
For the Ravens, Gianna Pedone and Kaitlin Fracchiolla each singled in the game.
The Ravens are next scheduled to face Cabrini on Monday, 3/30 in a CSAC doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:00pm.
