ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – A goal from Rosemont rookie Payton Kanagie in the 23rd minute of today's game at Eastern University knotted the score at 1-1, but the host Eagles (3-2-1) shut down the Ravens offense for the rest of the afternoon, scoring a 6-1 win over the Rosemont women's soccer team this afternoon. With the result the Ravens fall to 0-5 on the season.
Kanagie's goal was set up by teammate Victoria Kasper, who launched a perfect cross in front of goal that Kanagie redirected for the Rosemont score.
With the score tied, the Eagles took the lead for good in the 28th minute, 2-1, which would be the score at the end of the half. Eastern would pad their lead with four more scores in the second stanza for the final result.
The Ravens end their three-game road swing and open up their CSAC schedule on Saturday, when they travel to Scranton to face the Marywood Pacers. The game is slated for a 12:00pm start.
