How It Happened

  • The Ravens got out to a hot start and scored the first 10 points of the game in 2:44 of playing time. Leading 19-6, the Mighty Macs would whittle the lead back to eight points, 19-11 with 12:09 to play in the half, but the Ravens would put together a 10-0 run over the next four minutes to take a comfortable 18-point lead, 29-11 with 8:09 remaining in the half.
  • Immaculata would again try a comeback in the half, getting to within nine points of the Ravens, 34-25 with 3:53 on the clock, but the Ravens would silence that, ending the half on a 11-2 run over the final three minutes to take a comfortable 47-29 lead going into the break.
  • Ahead by 19 to start the half after a Marcus Thomas bucket from downtown to make the score 50-31, the Mighty Macs would put together a 10-0 run of their own to get the difference back down to only nine points with 15 minutes left. The Ravens would slowly build their lead up to a game-high 20 points on a Khai Roberts layup, to make the score 69-49 with nine minutes left in the game.
  • Immaculata would hammer away, cutting the lead by 13 points as the Ravens would lead 78-71 with 3:38 left in the game, but good free throw shooting down the stretch by Clayton Wolfe, Marcus Thomas, and Khai Roberts surrounding field goals by Roberts and Thomas would enable the Ravens to hang on to their lead to close out the game.
