How It Happened

On a seasonably warm afternoon the Rosemont men's soccer team was looking to get back into winning form, as they traveled to take on the Defenders of Clarks Summit. For the first 38 minutes the two teams played to a scoreless draw. However, at the 39:30 mark it was the Ravens who struck first as Emre Kasik got his foot on a ball that bounced around the six yard box, and tucked it past keeper Ben Campbell to make it 1-0. The sides would then head to the half with the same score. Rosemont dominated most of the half outshooting the Defenders 15-4.

In the second half, Clarks Summit got themselves right back into the match as Wesley Pincince leveled things at 1-1 in the 54th minute. The Ravens pulled back in front about ten minutes later when Luis Castillo scored off of a direct kick outside of the Defenders 18-yard box putting Rosemont back in front at 2-1. From there Rosemont tightened up the defense holding Clarks Summit to three shots in the half, and left the pitch victorious.

The Ravens will try to keep their positive momentum going when they host the Cairn Highlanders on Saturday afternoon at the Ravens Athletic Complex. The conference game is scheduled for a 1:00pm start. It will be Senior Day for the Ravens
