How It Happened

On a chilly evening at the Ravens Athletic Complex, the women's soccer team wrapped up its non-conference schedule against the Lions of Bryn Athyn College. Rosemont wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Victoria Kasper in the 6th minute took a ball from the top of the 18-yard box dribbled between multiple defenders and slid it under Lions keeper Allison Warren for a 1-0 lead. Bryn Athyn quickly answered a little over two minutes later as Shelby Puccio sent a corner kick straight into the upper portion of the net tying the score at 1-1. The Lions then took the lead in the 22nd minute when Alyssa Bosler played a long ball over the top of the Ravens defense, it was once again Puccio who brought the ball under control and put into the net for a 2-1 lead. Rosemont battled the rest of the half to find an equalizer, but none would come.

The second half saw the two sides play a much tighter half with each team mustering only four shots. The Ravens continued to search for the tying goal, but Warren made a couple of big saves to preserve the 2-1 win for the Lions.
