Ravens to Face Cabrini in CSAC Quarterfinal

The Basics

How It Happened
  • The Ravens controlled the game wire-to-wire, starting off with a 12-point burst before Cedar Crest would get on the board with their first point. The Falcons would outscore the Ravens over the last 2:17 of the first quarter by an 11-6 spurt, but Rosemont would take the 18-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.
 
  • A trey from Ayanna Thompson would put the Ravens back on offensive footing, scoring the first eight points of the quarter to take a 28-11 lead with 5:37 left in the half. The two teams would jostle over the rest of the period, but the Ravens remained in firm control, going into the major break ahead 40-23 after winning the second quarter, 22-12.
 
  • After the Falcons led off the second half with a make from downtown, the Ravens would go on an 11-0 streak to claim a 25-point lead, 51-26. The Ravens would extend their lead to a game-high 28 points and outscore Cedar Crest 19-11 in the quarter to take a 59-34 lead into the final quarter.
 
  • Cedar Crest would chip away at the Ravens' lead, outscoring Rosemont 14-7 to get to within 18 points of the Ravens, but the visitors would steady and salt away the game down the stretch, even as the Falcons won the last quarter by a 19-16 count.
 
Ravens' Top Performers
  • Carly Hislop led the Ravens with 15 points. Her 11 rebounds gave her a double-double on the afternoon.
  • Lielani Naone-Carter also had a strong game, scoring 14 with a big 18 rebounds for a double-double.
  • Nadirah Anderson had a big day off the window, accounting for 15 rebounds.
  • Brianna Macauley scored 14 with eight rebounds for a strong performance.
  • Jasmyn Parker scored 11 points.
 
For the Falcons
  • Tenille Stewart was the Falcons' standout player today, scoring 25 points, including seven field goals from beyond the arc.
  • Taylor Osley scored 12 and Kayleigh Keggan added nine points for Cedar Crest.
 
Stats of the Game
  • The Ravens out-shot Cedar Crest from the field, 37.5% to 29.2%, 33-for-88 vs. 19-for-65
  • Rosemont had 23 more shots taken from the field based on their control in the paint, out-rebounding Cedar Crest by a count of 65-31.
